Goodwill Industries of PittsburghE-Strategy Planning and Web Site Development Visit the web site at www.goodwillpitt.org When 8 Sharp began working with Goodwill the intent was the simple redesign of an outdated web site, but it quickly became clear that Goodwill needed more. Beyond a simple brochure site, Goodwill could leverage the Internet to move their mission forward by achieving two goals—increase sales in the Retail / Auto Auction outlets and highlight their primary service of job training. With this in mind, 8 Sharp lead a workshop with senior management from which an E-Strategy Document was written. The E-Strategy Document outlined Goodwill's business goals and matched them with achievable and realistic Internet strategies. The first of which was to select and install a Content Management Software package empowering Goodwill to maintain and expand their web site with little technology knowledge and investment. The E-Strategy Document also provided content ideas and interactive features for the future web site as well as Internet Marketing programs to launch the site once live. 8 Sharp most recently completed the web site and is planning the launch activities.
