Philippe Starck

Emerging as the "superstar of design" in the 1980s, Philippe Starck's influence is still going strong into the 21st Century. Best known for his furniture designs, Starck's interior design and architecture work ranges from private apartments to international four-star hotels.

Starck also designs electronics, motorcylces, housewares, luggage, and even websites. Ironically, Starck's most commercially lucrative designs are for a lemon squeezer, colandor and "Alessi" kettle.

Starck's most recent accomplishments include the Ian Schrager hotels.
